Organization Peasants of Lavache is a grassroots organization striving to improve the lives of rural Haitians. OPL was founded in 2009 by a group of young Haitians who share a vision for empowering Haitians throughout rural villages. The group is working closely with the community members to identify problems, engage the community in discussion, and work together to empower the people to reach solutions.
Enable 342 of the most underprivileged children in Lavache to attend school and obtain the education they deserve. Due to the precarious situation of the Haitian economy and the lack of scholastic infrastructure the students don’t have the chance to go to school regularly. Many children stay at home and perform domestic tasks and farm work with their parents. Assuring the education and training of children is a priority for the population of Lavache and the OPL. Educating and training children is insurance for the change and development of Haiti. The children of today are the adults of tomorrow who will chart the destination of the future of Haiti.
$65 allows a child in Lavache to attend school for one full year. You can open doors for these children by supporting them with a scholarship.
$22,230 sends all 342 of the neediest children to school in Lavache. Amazing!
